I must say I hadn't heard of the FG1000 until now but watching the video on the portal makes me looking forward to it. Looks like some great action on the track.

The car may not come with a well known manufacturer's label like F.BMW or F.Renault, but it has great heritage. The constructor and designer of the car are well known in the motorsport industry:

Ralf Firman.
After running Emerson Fittipaldi in F3 (who went on to become F1 World Champion) Ralph created Van Diemen. Some 5,000 single seater and sports racing cars were produced. Ralph ran Ayrton Senna to win both British and European F.Ford Championships.

David Baldwin.
Was instrumental in designing the famous Lotus 59 and Lotus 69 F2 and F3 cars in the late 1960s. During the 1970s he worked at Team Lotus and McLaren F1 before becoming a Director of Van Diemen. Clearly, David designed the FG1000 based on a huge amount of experience of what makes a great driver's car.
