I know that i'm not the best Setupmaker but 5 Seconds?
What's your Topspeed Guys? Probably i'm driving with to much Downforce?

I made 1:30.0 with default DF, final ratio one click away from best accel. I've dropped the DF some and and adjusted gears a bit but I wasn't immediately faster with that, did similar lap times. No idea of top speeds though as I don't look while driving.

Hm is the wheel movement really reduced and smoothed out in replay mode ? I think changing that to make it look as much as the real driving experience would help alot.
( especially for those experts saying physics are dead.. it looks unreal etc.. by watching our vids )

I very rarely watch replays, but on the few occasions I have (many builds ago), I definitely noticed the wheel looking a lot smoother than was the case when driving in real time. I think physics in general are toned down in replays, as is the case in most sims. Presumably to keep replays consistent and to save memory/disk space.

You're absolutely right, at Piratella you can ride a bit to the right of the curb. But for purpose of that video I was a bit more concerned on just making sure it was a clean lap in regards to racing line. Would suck if someone is using it as reference X builds ahead of today and turns out that going wide at Piratella makes it an invalid lap. But yeah, for the sake of hotlapping this week, if you go wide on Piratella you'll be able to brake later (and less) and carry more speed. You can probably shave 0.5s from there depending on your braking point for the next turn.

I've calibrated the wheel in game to 880° or something ( Thats what it shows if i go to 90° with my wheel ) but i assume you guys do the same ?
That's odd, I have it calibrated at 900º and the steering lock for the car is the default one. Krivjur may be right and the difference is due to the replay. Give it a try checking a recorded in-game lap (I mean, actual drive, not replayed).

seems to me the S-chicane can be taken in a "drive-straight-through" style without that much braking like in real life. not good.

Do you mean Variante Alta? If so then I don't think that is true. Going down to 2nd gear from 4th/5th is hardly "without that much braking".

You can't straight line it but you can run wide, right up to the barrier on the exit, without invalidating the lap. Same thing at Piratella.
