I'm not at my pc right now, but I remember this:

- This week I played a lot because of my new CSR wheel, but only did free practice (never did quick races until now)
with f86 in azure coast or cali highway, always in down or dusk times (6/8 am or 6/8 pm), just to better setup the wheel.

Didn't changed anything else, build 202.
When I'll get home I'll check all the times in the race/qualify menu.

Could you have a look at the in-game telemetry, maybe something shows there that is changing/different?

It's so obvious as even driving poorly I'm still faster than when it happens. The car feels sluggish and heavier.

It feels like top end speed is missing maybe too much wing.

The problem with it varying so much is that it's hard to adjust set ups as you don't know if it's the set up or the game that's making the car slower.

Does this happen when you have first driven another car or having driven a hotlap event? There was a bug reported with set-ups being mixed up when doing free practice after a hotlap event IIRC.

I seem to be getting some odd results, some times when I go to race the car is slow and no matter how many times I try it's constantly slow by as much as 3tenths in the first sector.

I've found that the only fix is to go to setup and back to the track and test the first sector and if it's still slow keep repeating it over and over until the speed returns, this happens about 1 in 5 attempts.

I've been testing for the last few hours over and over and the effect seems to be real at least on this PC.

do you have your damage set to full or visual only? if the former, try visual only and see if slow ones happen. if not, that would be the answer but if yes, something else must be at play

As long as I stay within the session restarting it is fine it will either stay fast or slow.
I'm not driving any other car or track.

Damage is set to visual only.

I think that if I go to menus it forgets the set up until I go to the set up menu.

I need to test with the default set up and see what times I get, I suspect it's reverting to default if I go to menus without going to set up menu.

I just tried default and that's not it as it was way too slow.

Tell me about it. I was .300 off the pace in the first sector and .130 off in the 3rd. I was 4 seconds + off in the middle sector ! Must have taken a wrong turn somewhere
