Same with us Managers, I don't believe that there are many people that can put another 24k in to the project. If there are more WMD projects in future, I hope there are more steps in between or another way to up your contribution in smaller steps instead of making multiple accounts.
But I don't plan to stay at 3xManager if funding stays open during summer...![]()
From my original proposal, you as a multiple Manager were exempt from further contribution, as were Senior Managers. If a Manager was not multiple, I proposed Manager to Manager not to Senior Manager as that would be totally unrealistic to expect. By your admission you expect to do more if you can. I am just hoping to show Ian that this may be possible.Same with us Managers, I don't believe that there are many people that can put another 24k in to the project. I think we should close the Junior tier.
New members should start with TeamMember or FullMember.
First the gap 10->25 is very little, second every new member brings at least the double of new funding.
I'm bad i know![]()

This is a good idea Thomas, and maybe as @Laffer hoped something around 500 euro, now we have a discussion going.

In March there was a first poll about phasing out the junior tier.
And as written there,This won't affect current Junior members, nobody will be forced to upgrade.

I somewhat agree with Thomas firstly if all Jr.'s and Team Members upgraded to Full Members that would be a decent chunk of change added and it basicly is a savings to them in the long run. That should be the first goal. I could see phasing out the Jr. level once a playable demo is implimented but I suspect things will stay as they are for the short term future at least.
Edit: the upgrades would add 385,000 euro

I hope everyone understands that my proposal that everyone move up one level is PURELY OPTIONAL. No one forced, wouldn't dream of it.

Very good point, either way for me on Junior. Again it must be voluntary and remember we need to indicate to Ian that we can get at or near the 3.75m in the time alloted. A difficult task at best.I somewhat agree with Thomas firstly if all Jr.'s and Team Members upgraded to Full Members that would be a decent chunk of change added and it basicly is a savings to them in the long run. I've been thinking that too and worked out (disclaimer) that, according to averaging the costs over the term of the development, there are enough funds now to keep SMS going upto/into Jan next year. In the meantime the funding will continue to at least trickle in.
SMS will be getting income from their Ferrari game soon so may put a bit more into pCARS to make up any shortfall. Based on this I also think that it may be possible to carry on as we are. Of course if there is some deal in the works or in the future that would require additional work on top of what was planned, so would lead to an increase in the budget, then community funding would likely fall short but any such deal would probably seal the final investment anyway. Other than something like this it does not appear to me that SMS need to do anything radical.
