Don't mix up Europe and UK there Dwellers of the British isles drive on the wrong side of the road, everyone else uses the right side. It's exceptionally funny during summer holidays when they're heading for the Alps and you think you're facing a driverless vehicle at first glance.

Actually the Brits, who drive on the wrong side, use commas and decimal points the same way you do As a Dutch guy with a physics degree, I'm in even more trouble because in 'normal life' it's comma for decimals and dot for thousands, but in my (scientific) work it's decimal point for decimals.

    This is how investments work.
I agree, making profit is what shareholding is about. If you buy a stock, there is no guaranty that you will gain money, but everyone is expecting profit if he buys stocks.
Its the same with Crowdfunding, WMD is offering a participation in costs AND profits.
Some developers or music artists are starting crowdfunded projects where you can donate money just because you wanna hear or play or see the result. And the 'only' thing you get in exchange for you donations is the music album or the game.

In short words, i think it doesn't matter if people put money in this project because they love virtuell racing or they are expecting profit, the only important thing is that the project has enough money to go on.
    I mean just look at the things rich people are speculating with, wine, cheese and even horse sperm ... to me a racing game is more lucrative ^^;

    Other topic:

EA is not the only publisher you should beware of, what activision did to a great series like Call of Duty is just maddening. Call of Duty 1,2 and 4 were absolutely remarkable games on pc, made with love and the time it needed. But after CoD4 activision decided to kill love and make money by throwing a Call of Duty 4 sequel on the market every year. The result is, a cod every year that isn't realy different from cod4, it isnt ready at release and it dosn't even get patched propperly because befor its running at good performance they already announced the next cod ... this can't be the future of gaming or games, this is just the call of greed.

Ya.. well.. things would be better if everyone just did things the American way.. which is the correct way. I mean as far as systems of measurements, automobile steering wheel construction, and traffic direction goes. Don't copy anything else really.. well, actually.. the food here in Big D is very good.. world class restaurants, especially if you want a $90 cut of beef.. you can copy that, coz when I was last in England, I really couldn't find anything worth having except for the beer. Germany was worse (food, not beer), and Italy only slightly better because it's hard to get pasta wrong. France has this weird thing where they charge a different price for a drink depending on how far away from the bar you are.

So ya.. more copying of America please. I think I'm going to have a return trip sometime next year.

Someone brought up the possibility of continuing to allow new people to test the software after changes take place and funding is complete and signups are closed. I think it is possible if any further distribution of the software after the changes is based on and reflects actual sales of the software and those individuals could be allowed in the forum as non-members in the development side of the project.

Anyone doing this would get a coupon for the final release without the possibility of additional revenue distribution.

You could just list them in the forum as Paid.

Micas, in the food department, you really are visiting the wrong countries Forget about the fancy places and you'll discover a new world. If one is conquered by the stomach, you'll never leave Portugal after tartes PORTUGUESE tipical dishes. Plus there's so much more variety (not just pasta or beer... and there's life beyond steak). And if you look under "petiscos" then you'll die before trying all of them

    But I digress, i'm sorry.

miagi has a point. Nowadays, every game seems just like the on before or a clone of something else. That's what I like in the "minis" for PS3. Sometimes you can hit a real gem and for such low prices.

Still, I'm confident that this will be good. I even opened a second senior account after the news

The only way to have ppl coming in to TEST (so having an updated client, and not a "demo") is to move into the beta and start to sell it (pre-sales) .. like rF. But it wouldn't be that easy to handle (under the financial aspect), because we'll need to distribute the profits (70% of them) to all the (current) members, plus we need to calculate the distribution costs of this sales method (our servers have a cost, handling money too.. etc.) that are mixed with the current expsense (project development). It's a way "elaborate" (to use an euphemism).

And in the 1920's in Italy, they drove on the right side in the countryside and on the left in the cities. That's proper Italian style craziness
