Small issue: uninstalled previous buil, but the "Profiles/CustomisedControllers" folders and "graphicsconfig (2x)" files in the .../documents/CARS folder were not deleted.

Well, the only thing you have there are config files for settings such as controls and gameplay options you might have changed, so unless SMS changes the formatting of those files or add new options you have nothing to worry about.
They said in another thread that unless they specify it you wont need to delete those files.

Of course it's a feature, otherwise you would have to set up your wheel and all settings every week with every new build
