To be quite honest with you, I don't see it that way. We just had a handful of people who created some drama, and then whole lot of people (including myself) who are enjoying and feel really positive about what's going on jumped in and blew it up further.

My guess is that 90% of the members here are giving you a positive response, at least the ones that post on a regular basis. I guess we've just come to realize that some people will never be satisfied or have ulterior motives, and just shouldn't be here.

I haven't had a chance to test 150, but I'll get 151 in (my) morning and see how the middle of the G25 feels. It's going to be enjoyable to see how the focus shifts with the FFB and physics pretty stable.

Thanks Micas, you're probably right. When you've invested so much (blood and tears) in something it skews your perception a bit

It's a side effect of increasing membership of our project and I am afraid it is inevitable. With new valuable members we get a few "unwanted elements" probably registered here just to undermine the productive process of creation we have here. Have you noticed that almost all of them are juniors? It means something.
I am not entitled to point to SMS how to behave, but I wish we could pay less attention to them and focus more on the production process. If they cause too much problems then first PM warning and ban if it won't help.

I think this is the single most annoying thing for me, the complete lack of any patience on some peoples part. It's bad enough when people do it when they have had no obvious response, but also very rude (IMO) when there has been a statement of intent by the Devs that something will be done or included and still people post every so often asking if and when it will be done.

I have to say I'm over the moon that things I've commented on have changed for the better, and like to think it's because I asked The reality is it probably coincided with what the Devs were doing anyway, was a very simple change, and many people would benefit.

Yeah, it's really sad how some rather idiotic people can drag down weeks or even months of great progress. I understand that some people were frustrated not knowing what WMD is about and the whole "free copy" debacle, but that's no reason to lash out on the developers who have put so much blood, sweat and tears to make all this happen. Yes, some drama maybe could have been avoided if some people were better informed about the F2P model and what WMD is not, but it's not SMS fault for not reading the docs using your brain. With a project this big you can't really avoid the trolls and idiots though, but luckily the devs have taken care of them and given us a couple of laughs as well.

In the end, it's those who have an axe to grind who are the most vocal bunch. Just remember that even though some of us might not be the most vocal, there are loads of people who are absolutely loving the game already and what WMD is. Don't let the haters get to you.

^ What he said. Its a cold winter, but summer will come.

One other thing I d like to tell the devs is: Please remember, this is our first time doing it this way as well! I can only speak for myself here, but I m sure even the majority of people that sees this project with goodwill still every now and then you gets their blood pumped up by something a dav said that you dont see the same way (yeah, happened to me too) or you feel like you re being ignored. But that also comes from the industry/publishers/custormer service ignoring players for years. We re used to having to scream to be heard. So let us adjust to it aswell.

Anyway, once funding will be closed (soon) and the team is set, I think a routine will establish itself. The more feedback gets written in a good way, the more you tell us how to, the more it will improve overall.

And lastly, please avoid PR talk. Imho the "free copy of the finished game" part was very unfortunate and a thing to learn from. The rewritten TnCs and the full member pack should be adressed very clearly and saying without a doubt what you ll get exactly. Free steam copy for PC from full member up, discounts for DLC for senior members up. No misunderstandings, no crying.

While I've only been around a very short time, I've noticed that the sheer volume of what's going on in the forum can be quite overwhelming. I can't even begin to imagine what it has to be for you developer guys to try and keep up with it?!

To cut down my time spent skimming forum topics, I've started to skip all posts which don't have any "likes" associated. Which reminds me: On the forum of a different game (which I play a LOT - World of Tanks), the posts can not only be liked but given pluses and minuses. I don't know if your current board s/w allows for it, but negative feedback to posts could actually be used to determine if someone is hurting the information economy on here - and ultimately, lead to temporary or even permanent bans. Anybody else think this would be a nice option?

(I also would LOVE to have a search for "the most liked posts of the last 24 hours"..)

Would it not be a good idea to sticky that single post in the general section somewhere Andy?

I have an idea in Andy's initial post are the criteria of the forum that should be the warning by way of PMing the link to that to them anything after that well I won't say it because I don't want anyone to go but you know what I'm getting at.

Do you know every new member receive this as a PM ?

    A French version...
