Initial Multiplayer testing will only be available for Senior Managers or did I miss something? :)

Andy Garton
28-09-2012, 07:15
Senior managers initially yes, but that won't last long. It's purely a means of restricting client connections/disappointment until the early issues are worked out. We're planning our very first "more than a couple of clients" SMS test on Monday, to give you an idea of how early things are still. This isn't about holding things back for the lower user levels, just optimizing the development and testing process.

First - thanks for a fantastic project - i already love pCars!

I've thought about some aspect you have been talking about but not included yet - and if the release is early 2013 - then it could be interesting to hear about how far you are - and what to expect in initial release:

1. Pitstops
2. New tyremodel
3. Race weekend gamemodes (where setup can be changed in garage).
4. Changeable weather

Release is expected for around 12-15 months away at this stage due to the speed at which funds were received. Not a huge deal as it gives more polishing time and we'll be up there fighting with with the giants Need for Speed and Forza 5 before holiday season.

Check the News/Announcements section for threads called What's New in pCARS this week, links to the big discussion threads regarding what devs are currently working on.

You'll have to make it for him this week and PM it so he can copy to a new thread. :)

Regardless of how well I think I'm following this forum there's always something in Rob's thread I've missed.
